In response to the EPA’s repeal of the Endangerment Finding, Marcellus Shale Coalition (MSC) President Jim Welty issued the following statement:
“We appreciate the Trump Administration’s continued focus and results-driven approach to putting America in a position to win in the global economy.
“Policies built on questionable legal foundations, like the federal endangerment finding, weaken our nation’s competitive edge, harms job creators, and makes it more difficult to safely produce the domestic energy that we need to grow our economy and keep America secure.
“Natural gas production and use have been perhaps the most significant and effective factor in reducing carbon emissions in Pennsylvania, and it has been achieved thanks to market-driven forces. Today’s action by the EPA is an important step in restoring commonsense to our public policies while supporting our environment, economy, and America’s security.”
