HARRISBURG, PA – July 28, 2025 – The Marcellus Shale Coalition is pleased to announce Dan Hagan will join the organization as government affairs director beginning August 4, 2025. Mr. Hagan comes to the MSC with nearly a decade of policy and legislative experience, most recently serving as Executive Director of the Republican Policy Committee within the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
“Dan’s deep understanding of the legislative process and his commitment to advancing smart, balanced energy policy will be a tremendous asset to our members and the MSC team,” said Jim Welty, president of the Marcellus Shale Coalition. “We’re excited for him to help us continue raising the bar in how we serve our members, advocate for the industry and engage with the industry’s dynamic stakeholder audience.”
Mr. Hagan played a key role in educating members and staff of the Pennsylvania State Legislature on critical energy policy issues during his years working with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. His strong familiarity with the legislative process also makes him an excellent fit for the position.
In his new role, Mr. Hagan will support the coalition’s mission to promote the responsible development of Pennsylvania’s natural gas resources by communicating with policymakers and ensuring our legislative and regulatory frameworks sustain the Commonwealth’s position as a national energy and innovation leader.
