Marcellus Shale Coalition president Jim Welty released the following statement today in response to the U.S. Treasury’s final rules on federal clean hydrogen production incentives (45V):

“While the final Treasury rule is an improvement upon the original proposal, more work needs to be done to maximize these historic opportunities so that we may ensure the full utilization of clean, low-carbon, domestically produced natural gas. We look forward to working with the incoming Administration to further ensure Pennsylvania natural gas is a cornerstone to the development and build out of hydrogen hubs in the Appalachian Basin.”
