Domestically produced natural gas is a clean-burning energy resource that must be developed in an environmentally responsible manner. In addition to the environmental benefits associated with increased natural gas usage, including enhanced air quality, the economic benefits of this development are being felt across the region and the nation through more affordable energy prices and robust economic activity. According to a recent economic analysis, the oil and gas industry contributes nearly $45 Billion to the state’s economy each year and supports more than 322,000 Pennsylvania jobs.
