OGI Camera Operation Refresher Course @ Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe
May 9 @ 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

REGISTER HERE

Although the methodologies for detecting leaks at oil and gas facilities have undergone significant changes over the last several years, the importance of the optical gas imaging (OGI) camera has not diminished. New federal regulatory standards and voluntary initiatives continue to drive home the importance of this technology, which often acts as the cornerstone of a leak detection and repair (LDAR) program.

Join oil and gas industry stakeholders to obtain a refresher on OGI cameras with both classroom and “in-the-field” training sessions. The classroom session will review specific requirements, methodologies and theories related to the use of OGI cameras and the in-the-field session will include hands-on camera training. A certificate documenting completion will be provided at the conclusion of the course.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a company owned OGI camera for use during the outdoor field training. Those that do not have an OGI camera will share a camera provided by one of our expert speakers. Groups will be assigned upon arrival. Please plan to wear casual, comfortable clothing and footwear, and be prepared for light rain or cool weather conditions.

US EPA New Methane Regulations Training @ Omni Bedford Springs

On December 2, 2023, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) published the final rule related to emission reduction standards for methane and volatile organic compounds from new and existing oil and natural gas sources. The revisions to Subpart OOOOa are intended to align the rule with the Congressional Review Act of 2021 that eliminated certain rule amendments. Subpart OOOOb regulates affected facilities constructed, reconstructed, or modified after December 6, 2022. Subpart OOOOc is a model rule for states, which will be required to implement similar measures in state-level rulemaking within 24 months.

This training will include a detailed overview of the final rulemaking and the potential impacts on the unconventional and midstream industries in Pennsylvania. Subject matter experts will share their perspectives on many of the proposed areas of change, including monitoring wells to pneumatic controllers and compressors. At the conclusion, all speakers will participate in a panel discussion with an open question and answer session.
