MSC MEMBERSHIP

Founded in 2008, the MSC was established to be the premiere thought leader and advocacy organization representing the interests of those partners active in Pennsylvania’s shale gas industry. Staying true to our mission, the MSC inspires our industry and stakeholders with innovative ideas through our coalition driven primarily by our members and the value services we offer, including: public policy advocacy, professional technical trainings, grassroots advocacy, a robust committee structure and superior communications and public relations efforts. By joining the MSC, your company will be represented alongside the major exploration and production, midstream, transmission, contractor, legal, professional services and supply chain partners that are shaping the future of the shale development.

MSC Committees

The MSC committee structure – led by MSC members elected annually by their peers – is the core of the organization and is designed to encourage communication, idea sharing among members and foster a constructive environment for learning and professional advancement. MSC member companies are eligible to participate in more than 15 committees and over 25 workgroups to establish close relationships with other industry leaders in their field and address the important technical, regulatory and operational challenges that the industry faces. Stay current on new legislation, regulations, permits and other policy documents to serve your clients and stakeholders effectively.

Exclusive Member Communications

Strong, programmatic communications and media affairs efforts are central to the MSC’s strategic mission. The MSC’s team, along with an active public relations committee, works daily to effectively amplify the industry’s benefits and commitments. Since the organization’s inception, the MSC has had a dedicated team of professionals focused exclusively on cutting through the clutter of today’s 24-hour news cycle to get the facts out to the media, the general public and key stakeholders.  MSC Members have subscriptions to timely email communications, including: the bi-weekly Energy Source email newsletter, Member Meeting and Training announcements, Fact Sheets and other industry publications.

Networking Opportunities

The MSC member meetings bring in approximately 300 attendees on average, providing you unparalleled access to decision makers in the region.  Members of the MSC are permitted to send an unlimited number of attendees to the member meetings at no additional cost.

Associate Member Directory

Provided as a value-added resource for all of our members, the searchable electronic Associate Member Directory and reference tool highlights the diverse population of companies and services that make-up our membership base.  The Associate Member Directory, available exclusively on the MSC member portal, is updated regularly and provides a prime opportunity for member-companies to highlight the professional services that they offer.

Member Portal Access

The MSC Member Portal is a one stop shop to access important membership information, meeting material, as well as current and archived documents. All MSC members have access to the Member Portal to review and download key documents, letters, presentations, and other information specific to all of the MSC’s Committees and Workgroups. All MSC members will have access to the contact information of the Committee and Workgroup leads so that you can reach out directly and enhance both your committee involvement and networking capabilities. Information about upcoming MSC member only meetings will be available on the Member Portal, as well as an upcoming calendar of events.
