This April, Pennsylvania’s natural gas industry once again demonstrated their commitment to environmental stewardship, hosting various volunteer outings including the restocking of creeks, watershed restorations, park clean ups and more. After all, no one understands the importance of preserving our shared environment more than those that work and live here.
By engaging in activities aimed at enhancing and protecting our Earth, MSC member companies are directly contributing to the health and wellbeing of the local community and are making tangible differences across their operating areas. In addition to their environmental efforts, Pennsylvania’s natural gas industry also prioritized educational outreach as part of their Earth Day initiatives, inviting schools, residents, and local businesses to join them in these outings and raising awareness about environmental conservation and the role natural gas plays in a sustainable energy future.
Through their collective efforts, volunteers highlighted the importance of corporate responsibility and how businesses can play a critical role in protecting the environment.
A Snapshot of What They’re Doing:

Alongside the Women’s Energy Network, Repsol volunteered to assist in a highway clean up! Volunteers worked from 9:30 am into the afternoon when they rolled up their sleeves and got to work cleaning up their community.
Southwestern Energy and Williams
Partnering-up this year, SWN and Williams hosted a creek clean-up and trout restocking at Big Wheeling Creek where local businesses and students were invited to attend. The day consisted of two sessions, with students sitting in on a presentation from the WV DNR before helping stock 4,000 pounds of trout.
