PITTSBURGH, PA – APRIL 25, 2024 – Marcellus Shale Coalition President David Callahan issued the below statement following the U.S. EPA’s rule on power plant emissions:
“Just as PJM reports record emission reductions tied to increased natural gas power generation, the Biden administration unveils yet another short-sighted rule putting our power grid reliability and affordability at risk. Low cost and reliable energy is arguably needed now more than ever,” Callahan said. “America’s natural gas sector is capable and ready to meet these critical demands, but we can only do so if the government prioritizes consumer and economic solutions instead of misguided policies that only please the radical environmental agenda.”
“Pennsylvania voters overwhelmingly believe natural gas is our best tool driving environmental progress and economic growth, and actions like today shine a light right through the Administration’s promises to protect the working class as Biden seeks another term in the White House.”
