HONESDALE, Pa. – The Marcellus Shale Coalition (MSC) and several of its members donated lunches to say ‘Thank You’ to doctors, nurses, first responders and staff at the Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.
The MSC, along with members Alta Resources, Cabot Oil & Gas, Chevron, Greylock Energy, Olympus Energy, Penn E&R, Range Resources, and Southwestern Energy worked with the hospital to order lunch from Waymart Deli, Sunrise Market, and Market 13 for the medical professionals dedicated to keeping our communities healthy and defeating the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We have the deepest appreciation for the doctors, nurses and support staff working on the front lines in the battle against COVID-19,” said MSC president David Spigelmyer. “They are true heroes and as they support communities during these challenging times, we wanted to find a way to support them in return, while also helping local restaurants affected by social distancing orders.”
Wayne Memorial Hospital serves the residents of Wayne, Pike and Lackawanna Counties in Pennsylvania, as well as Sullivan County, New York.
“As our staff continues its work protecting our communities from COVID-19, we are very grateful for the Marcellus Shale Coalition and its members’ thoughtful donation,” said Lisa Champeau, Public Relations Manager for Wayne Memorial Hospital. “The staff was also glad to see other local vendors preparing the food. Even though we are a small rural community, there are many local places that are so pleased to be part of the picture.”
In addition to today’s donation, the MSC and members provided lunch to hospital staff at UPMC Williamsport and Washington Health System in Washington and Greene Counties last week.
