The MSC is proud to give back to the communities where we live and work. In the spirit of the holiday season – and with the cold winter months upon us – we held our first annual ‘Coalition of Caring’ coat and boot drive, donating winter clothing to non-profit organizations across Pennsylvania serving those in need.
With overwhelming support from our members, dozens of boxes filled with new and warm winter clothing were donated to three community organizations across the Commonwealth:
Family Promise of Lycoming County aims to help families regain their housing, independence, and dignity through partnerships forged in Lycoming County. Their services include running a foodbank, a ‘clothing closet’, homeless prevention, and a shelter.
The Light of Life rescue mission is a Pittsburgh-based organization dedicated to serving those whose lives have been impacted by homelessness, addiction, abusive relationships, or other difficult life situations. Combining faith and public service, Light of Life works to meet the immediate needs of homeless men, women, and children while empowering them to transform their lives.
Trehab Community Action Agency is a service provider and advocate for the poor, unemployed/underemployed, the elderly, and other at-risk groups. The organization is committed to service the community as a catalyst for asset building and by helping to increase access to capital.
These community-focused efforts were made possible by the generosity of MSC members who volunteered their time and provided donations. Giving back and investing in our Commonwealth is a core industry commitment, and there’s no better time to help those facing challenges than during the holiday season.
