We are eager to answer any and all questions. However, given the vagueness of this question, it’s difficult for us to determine what “it” is. That said, there are a host of unnecessary obstacles that prevent safe, job-creating natural gas development in our region. For example, the New Jersey-based Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) has unnecessarily blocked responsible natural gas development in parts of northeastern Pennsylvania. MSC CEO Kathryn Klaber told the Philadelphia Inquirer this about DRBC’s actions:
- “DRBC maintains its misguided, hurry-up-and-wait position on safe American natural gas development, citing ‘a number of reasons to wait a bit’ instead of following other jurisdictions where development is occurring and commonsense environmental regulations have led to more jobs and clean-burning energy.”
