We suppose that this question is in regard to hydraulic fracturing, the tightly-regulated, more than 60-year old well completions technology. As you may know, natural gas operators in Pennsylvania are required to disclose all chemical additives used during the hydraulic fracturing process in their well completion reports, which are filled with state environmental regulators. Additional, natural gas producers are required to disclose fracturing fluid makeups on a well-by-well basis on FracFocus.org, a national chemical disclosure registry administered by environmental regulators.
FracFocus is also supported by the Obama Administration. This from E&E News:
