While the Marcellus Shale Coalition and its over 300 members are certainly engaged in a multitude of policy and educational matters, our focus remains on issues directly related to natural gas development. Over the past few years, coalition member companies have invested more than $500 million in road repairs and construction. As an industry, we’re proud of these investments and will continue to invest in roads and infrastructure impacted by our operations. We do not however believe that the public, through the use of tax payer dollars, should bare the financial burden of foxing and repairing roads that may be impacted by our operations. That’s the industry’s responsibility and we will not lobby for public dollars to meet these needs.
