Is the industry willing to create a pool of funds within either the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation or another credible foundation that would be used to fund competitive grants to conservation groups in Pennsylvania interested in identifying opportunities to benefit fish and wildlife in partnership with the industry?

Through Act 13, the natural gas industry has contributed over $400 million in impact fees that can be used for a wide varity of purposes, including the funding of conservation and protection of wildlife habitat. It’s our opinion that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has a good handle on the needs of the state and are responsible stewards of these resources.
