Natural gas production in Pennsylvania continues to soar, resulting in more affordable energy costs for consumers, businesses and manufacturers.

In fact, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), “Pennsylvania natural gas production rose 69% in 2012 despite reduced drilling activity.” EIA has also reported this:

Between 2009 and 2011, Pennsylvania’s natural gas production more than quadrupled due to expanded horizontal drilling combined with hydraulic fracturing.

And in a recent speech, President Obama said this that “We produce more natural gas than any country on Earth,” adding: “We’ve got to tap into this natural gas revolution that’s bringing energy costs down in this country, which means manufacturers now want to locate here.” We absolutely agree.
