Industry group will offer one-on-one conversations with industry representatives and a formal presentation

CANONSBURG, Pa. – The Marcellus Shale Coalition (MSC) will hold a community information session at Troy Memorial Auditorium, located at corner of King and High Streets in Troy, PA, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, to discuss the development of natural gas from the Marcellus Shale in Bradford County.

The natural gas Industry will host an open house from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with representatives available to talk one-on-one with residents about exploration and development before a formal presentation at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will conclude with a question and answer session.

“The MSC encourages residents to learn more about the natural gas industry by attending this community meeting and obtaining information directly from the industry representatives,” said Rich Weber, MSC co-chair and president of Atlas Energy, Inc.

“Drilling for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale formation has the potential to positively impact Pennsylvania in a number of ways,” said Ray Walker, co-chair of the MSC and vice president of Appalachia Shale for Range Resources.

The event is open to the public and free of charge. No reservations are needed.
