Founded in 2008, the MSC was established with the intent of being a thought leader organization.  Staying true to our mission, the MSC inspires our industry and stakeholders with innovative ideas through our coalition driven primarily by our members and the value services we offer, including: technical trainings, grassroots advocacy, a robust committee structure and superior communications and public relations efforts.  By joining the MSC, your company will be represented alongside the major exploration and production, midstream, transmission and supply chain companies – that are shaping the future of the shale industry.

Membership is for private sector businesses only.  Individuals cannot be a member of the MSC.  Government agencies and media are not eligible to join as members of the MSC.

The MSC will host a Learn About Membership session on Wednesday, June 7th at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort in Bedford, Pa.  By participating in the MSC’s Learn About Membership session, you will experience first-hand what it is like to be engaged in our robust committee structure and participate in member meetings.  As a guest of the MSC, you will also have access to numerous networking opportunities and have the ability to learn about the issues driving the industry and how your company can benefit from the industry rebound that is underway.

MSC Value PropositionThe MSC committee structure is designed to encourage communication and idea sharing among members, which provides a cooperative avenue for learning.  MSC member companies can participate in more than 45 committees or working groups to establish close relationships with other industry leaders in their field and address the important technical, regulatory and operational challenges that the industry faces.

Exclusive Member Communications

Strong, programmatic communications and media affairs efforts are central to the MSC’s strategic mission. The MSC’s team, along with an active public relations committee, works daily to effectively amplify the industry’s benefits and commitments. Since the organization’s inception, the MSC has had a dedicated team of professionals focused exclusively on cutting through the clutter of today’s 24-hour news cycle to get the facts out to the media, the general public and key stakeholders.  MSC Members have subscriptions to timely email communications, including: the Marcellus Monthly Newsletter and The Marcellus Moment, tool kit and fact sheet announcementsto name a few.

Networking Opportunities

The MSC member meetings bring in more than 450 attendees on average, providing you unparalleled access to decision makers in the region.  Members of the MSC are permitted to send an unlimited amount of attendees to the member meetings.

Associate Member Directory

Provided as a value-added resource for all of our members, the electronic associate member directory and reference tool highlights the diverse population of organizations that make-up our membership base.  There is no cost for members to have an ad included in the member directory as it is part of the MSC membership package.  The directory is updated yearly and distributed to all MSC members, including MSC Board Member companies.
