Domestically produced natural gas is a clean-burning energy resource that must be developed in an environmentally responsible manner. In addition to the environmental benefits associated with increased natural gas usage, the economic benefits of this development are being felt across the region and the nation through more affordable energy prices and robust economic activity. According to a recent economic analysis, the natural gas industry invested more than $12 billion in Pennsylvania in 2011 while supporting more than 200,000 jobs across the region.
